Now in its 31st year, The iconic Cardiff 10K and 2K Family run is organised by the Kidney Wales Foundation. For nearly 50 years Kidney Wales has been at the forefront of patient care, wellbeing and research Wales supporting those, and advocating for those living with Kidney disease here in Wales.

Over the years Kidney Wales has achieved some incredible things with the support of the people of Wales.  These include:

•       Driven the change in law on organ donation here in Wales.
•       Refurbished the Children’s Kidney Centre at the University Hospital of Wales
•       Provided vital life saving equipment to Renal Units in Wales
•       Supported Key Posts in Dialysis Centre’s and the Children’s Kidney Centre
•       Established a Renal Research Fund
•       Provided Dialysis Centre’s and Transplant Units with multimedia installations
•       Launched a patient support network (Can do Project) for 16 - 22 year olds living with Kidney Disease in Wales.

Despite our hard work, we are very much aware not all patients are lucky enough to receive a transplant.  Some sufferers will live the rest of their lives on dialysis, and some lose their battle waiting for the call of a organ donation match to come.  So we will continue to work with energy and vigor to ensure the best treatments and care is available in Wales.

How can you help?

By choosing to fundraise for / or make a donation to Kidney Wales you will support us in continuing to raise vital funds for Kidney patients most in need and their families whilst tackling this deadly disease.  Every penny you raise or donate will make a difference to the quality of care and life an individual and their families living with Kidney disease has.

On behalf of the team at Kidney Wales, thank you for your support and we'll look forward to seeing you on race day.
